Paris Visitor Information

Home of fantastic cuisine, haute couture, the CanCan and Impressionism, Paris is one of the most favoured beauty spots of the world. Divided into 21 numbered Arrondissements or districts, Paris is very easy to navigate and to travel through. When the roads get too crazy, go underground and jump on a comfy Metro train and head for your next feature.

Places to see while in Paris are too numerous to mention. The top ones that are very highly recommended include of course the instantly recognizable Eiffel Tower! The views from the highest observation deck are breathtaking. You'll be out of breath after all those steps, but find it worth every bead of perspiration!

A great way to get a comprehensive tour and history of Paris is on one of the Bateau Parisiens along the River Seine. On board your sightseeing deck you will enjoy discovering how each of the bridges that you pass under have a significant place in Parisian history.

Other top places to see include the Cathedral of Notre Dame as well as the Louvre art gallery. Art lovers should head to the cafe heaven of the roads surrounding the Basilique du Sacre-Coer. As well as a great view of the city from the top of the steps, you are in a great place to enjoy the stomping ground of our favourite French Impressionist painters such as Manet, Monet and Renoir amongst many others.

For fantastic night- time entertainment, a trip to the red windmill fronted Moulin Rouge is highly recommended. The food is ordinary, but the show is amazing. You will be treated to the French CanCan as is tradition as well as a number of other great acts. Nobody puts on a show like the Parisians!
